Located on Lake Ontario in Oswego, NY
Lake Ontario boasts one of the most popular and successful sport fishing industries in the United States. Anglers travel from across the US and other countries every year to enjoy some of the best fishing that this area has to offer. Salmon, steelhead, brown trout, walleye pike and bass are just a few of the species that are harvested from the waters in the Oswego area each year.
From mid April thru mid October, you can book a trip on the Proteus. We sail out of the Oswego Harbor. Bring your family or friends and enjoy a safe, fun day on the water. With more than 27 years of chartering fishing trips on Lake Ontario, Captain Mike Conroy will use his expertise to get you where the fish are!
Proteus Sportfishing launched a new boat in 2016. She is a 28 ft., Cherokee Brave hardtop, with twin 350 Crusader inboard engines. She has an 11 ft., 6 inch beam and is heated and enclosed. She is fully rigged, designed for the Great Lakes and can handle 6 passengers comfortably.
